01 — OVERVIEW 展覽簡介
METAMORPHOSIS is a solo exhibition by ZHANG YI FEI which attempts to capture the quintessence of the human experience in its purest form. this showcase invites the viewers to venture into the realm of abstract artistry. the works defies the confines of conventional art forms with each deliberate and vigorous strokes which act as portals and ushers the observer into the labyrinthine depths of human emotion, cognition. and experience. as the audience engage with these abstract creations in this exhibition, ZHANG YI FEI hopes that they embark on a transformative journey and immerse themselves in a world of abstract artistry, where each stroke carries weight and acts as catalysts for a mesmerizing transformation on canvas; breathing life into a multitude of intricate emotions and sentiments.

张艺妃 — 是一位新加坡籍音乐家，艺术家，企业家和慈善家。她一直以来积极参与社会企业活动，希望通过自己的热情激励其他女性。她拥有多元化的创作背景，在视觉艺术和音乐领域积极创作。她的每部作品都有着独特的叙事方式，唤起了不同的情感和思绪。她喜欢挑战自我，推陈出新。她相信，不管年龄多大，追求自己热爱的梦想永远不会太晚。

ZHANG YI FEI — is a self-taught digital artist. a virtuoso, this youthful and young-at-heart mother, wife, entrepreneur, philanthropist, activist, and most importantly woman, wish to continuously empower and inspire other women with her passions. having recently added two new titles to her already impressive credentials, she is now also a recording artist and an acclaimed abstract artist. at more than a century old, she is unstoppable. she believes that there are still so many to explore and so much to contribute.

i was approached by AOR Global and ZHANG YI FEI to animate her artworks + a logo animation for her upcoming debut art exhibition, METAMORPHOSIS. i feel extremely delighted and proud to have been a part of this exhibition, for which featured on the arts house at the old parliament in singapore. i've worked very close with AOR Global and ZHANG YI FEI, and also the creative director / producer who has helped me throughout the entire creative journey. i would like to thank them for giving me this wonderful opportunity because it was truly a life-changing experience. i still can't believe this happened. i can never thank them enough.

in life, there's always this consistent dilemma between control and release. the never-ending conflict between holding on or letting go. in the end, it's a matter of trusting and believing in what fate has in store for us. the moment we accept our reality and open ourselves to receive what's to come, everything starts to fall into place and energy flows to where it's meant to go.

deep within me, there exists a duality in constant battle with one another; a tug of war between the feminine and masculine, balancing the imbalance of my inner grace and outer machismo. these conflicting facets of my twin self, represented in contrasting shades, hues and colours, fighting for their place within me as i struggle to juggle these personas. which side of me prevails? the leader, the breadwinner, the provider, or the spouse, the daughter and the mother? but maybe, as with most objects in the world, there exists is a centre of gravity, a singular point where both these twin selves can come together, co-exist and reconcile.
